USAF/FDEP Pilot Project To demonstrate the effectiveness of the NuShore System, Benedict Engineering Company partnered with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the US Air Force. For the demonstration, two critically eroded sites were chosen on Eglin AFB on the Florida Panhandle.
The following pictures and survey data show the success of the system recovering and protecting the shoreline of the Eglin Air Force installation.
